New to Fairmount or back for another year, this is the PTA's corner of the internet. Here's what's coming up, and the links worth bookmarking for the year.
Several classrooms still need a second Room Parent. It's two people per class, three parties a year, and a $100 budget for each. Easy, fun, and a real help to your child's teacher.

Suggested $75 per student100% stays at Fairmount. Any amount helps, and no amount is too small.
Give Now »Our biggest family kickoff of the year. A visit from the Arvada Fire Department, face painting, a bounce obstacle course, a PTA scavenger hunt, sponsor booths, and live music from DJ Ivy. Tables and chairs are limited — bring a blanket or camp chairs and settle in.
👋 Look for your grade-level stickers — the easiest way to find the other parents in your child's grade. If you're new to Fairmount, start there.
👕 Spirit Wear Exchange — outgrown or ready to replace some spirit wear? Drop lightly used items in the donation bin in the office. Everything collected will be available at the Bash for exchange or a suggested donation.
🐉 Reading Bingo turn-in — if your child finished a column on their Kenny & the Dragon bingo sheet, bring it to the Bash and trade it in for a prize.
🙋 Can you spare 30 minutes? We still need hands at the Bash — shifts are short and you'll still get to enjoy the party.

Our second general meeting of the year. PTA business first, then guest speakers from Jeffco Student Technology Services on screen time in the elementary years — how devices are used in K–5 classrooms, what filtering the district has in place, and building healthy habits at home.
Food provided. Kid care and a virtual option are both in the works — RSVP opens soon.

Our first Spirit Night of the year! Lace up for a GLOW skate with the Firebird crew, and free ice cream while you're there.
Here's the catch: Fairmount only earns a kickback if we hit a minimum number of paid skaters — so you count! Invite your neighbors, cousins, friends and teammates. All friends of Fairmount are welcome. Let's pack the place and support our school!
📌 School heads-up: The School Accountability Committee meets Monday, Sept 21, 5:30–6:30 PM at Fairmount. It's a school committee rather than a PTA one, but the meetings are open and worth knowing about.

Wondering why we ask you to join and to give? Your $22 membership doesn't buy the field trip. It buys the organization that makes the field trip possible — the legal standing, the insurance, the volunteers, the vote. Then the other 95% of our budget pays for the trip.
