There are a number of ways you can help support our school, teachers, and students through your participation with our PTA. Please take a moment to read this list, learn what people are doing in our school’s community, and see how you can help.
Apparel: Show your support by wearing the Fairmount colors with pride! Order at August registration.
Book Cart: Supplementing classroom reading by providing each and every K-3 child a book to read at home each day.
Bulletin Board: Keeping us all informed with the calendar and bulletin board in the main entrance of the school.
Campbell’s Soup Labels: Send in your Labels and Box Tops to earn cash for our school!
Community BBQ: Held in September, start the school year off at this fun family event!
Directory: Your ‘Fairmount Phonebook’, a gift from your PTA to keep in touch with your classmates.
Entertainment Books: Get more coupons than you could ever possibly use, and $5 goes to your PTA at the same time.
Fairmount 5000 Fun Run: A BolderBoulder qualifying race and all-round fun day with the family, held each May. One of only two major fundraisers held at Fairmount.
Grocery Cards: Earn money for you, earn money for your school… all by spending the money you regularly would anyway! Deal!
Hospitality: Making meals and treats for the staff and teachers.
Journalism Club: A great way for 4th-6th grade kids to hone their writing skills, and see their name in print in the monthly Fairmount Focus.
Lakeside Night: Join your Fairmount friends at Lakeside Amusement Park – each May.
Legislative Committee: PTA brought us school lunches and hundreds of other great programs. Get involved and see what we can do for our kids through the PTA.
Marquee: Keep up to date with what’s happening by checking out the marquee in front of the school’s parking lot.
Math Club: Meets every Friday, before school in the cafeteria.
Membership: Become a member of the Fairmount PTA! Just $10 per year.
Mileage Club: A running club during recess. Kids can track their miles and earn prizes!
Mountain Vista: 6th Graders, visiting the elderly with a little Christmas Cheer.
Newsletter: Our very own Fairmount Focus, find it online every month and keep up with what’s happening.
Recycling: Doing our part with paper, ink cartridge and cellphone recycling. Drop your donations at the school.
Reflections: Part of a nationwide PTA arts program, each September.
Scholarship: Former Fairmount students are eligible for a $500 scholarship when they are high school seniors. Keep it in mind!
School Supply Kits: An easy way to buy exactly the right school supplies, shipped directly to the teacher. No fuss!
Silent Auction: One of our biggest fundraisers, held in October. Please come and place your bids!
Sixth Grade Continuation: A celebration of our ’seniors’ before they move on to Middle School.
Sock Hop: Relive the 50’s each spring at our annual Sock Hop!
Student/Parent Breakfast: Bring a parent to breakfast at school and show them what they’re missing!
Talent Show: Show us all what you’ve got! Fairmount’s Got Talent!
Teacher Appreciation: Held in May, National PTA celebrates our teachers and staff!
Tickets For Time: Look for your Tickets for Time to participate in any of the pregrams and events we have going at Fairmount.
Volunteer Coordinator: Want to get involved but don’t know where? Contact a Board Member to find your niche!
Yearbook: Fairmount produces an annual yearbook for purchase, what a great keepsake for your child’s future.
General Meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of the month, at 3:45pm in the school library. Free babysitting (with a snack for the kids) is provided by your PTA. See the minutes for past meetings here.
